Opt out is on the MNO side, implemented in a way that each subscriber has the option to opt out of receiving promo traffic by calling a short number and selecting this option.

Marketing messages cannot be sent using a whitelisted Sender ID. Whitelisted Sender IDs are only for Notification, OTP and Transactional SMS.

If sending both Marketing and Transactional/OTP/Notification SMS, two separate Sender IDs are required.

SMS links must be verified and only direct recipients to the intended destination.

Contact information (e.g. Line IDs or other social media handles) must not be included in SMS content.

Gambling-related SMS content must comply with Thailand regulations. Promotion of illegal gambling is prohibited.

URLs in SMS content require NBTC approval/whitelisting before sending.

Marketing traffic cannot be sent using a registered transactional Sender ID.

NBTC URL Registration (Effective March 2025) required for URL in content.

Unicode is supported, "Space" character is not supported by some devices. As a result, they will be removed automatically. We advise using "-" character instead of space.

Underscores ("_") characters are also not accepted.

 

Sender ID Format
Spaces are discouraged (e.g. 9F-Fintech instead of 9F Fintech).

The following characters are not supported:
$, [ ], _, `, { }, @, ,, :.
