CHINA SMS: Products and Compliance

• Whitelisting of signature and content is required before sending
• Only local entities are supported — non-local entities are no longer accepted
• Content must be in Unicode (Chinese) only — all English content will be rejected
• Marketing content is allowed. The phrase 拒收请回复R ("To unsubscribe, please reply R") must be included at the end of every marketing message. "回T退订" is no longer accepted
• The unsubscribe phrase counts toward the 70-character limit. Partners can append it automatically if needed

The following types of messaging on all SMS messaging products are all prohibited:

• spam
• adult
• religious
• political
• gambling
• Trading
• Stock Exchange
• Money Lending
• Falun Gong and other similar politically driven fractions, Multi-level marketing or Properties marketing content.

Signature and content template whitelisting is required. Signature is considered the Sender ID with 【】bracket, and it will be in front of the message. Signature language supports Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) only, up to 2–8 characters. Special characters such as "-" and "." are not supported.

Required information for whitelisting:

• Company name
• Company URL
• Local Business Registration License (must be registered in China)
• Legal Representative's ID and mobile number (must not have been used for other signature registrations; an employee's ID/number under the same entity may be used as an alternative)
• Service description
• Signature
• Brand name
• Sample content
• APP website (if applicable)
